LockMyPix Privacy Policy
LockMyPix places particular emphasis on data protection. We are subject to strict European data protection regulations and ensure AES encryption for every imported file. Imported files are never and under no circumstances sent to our server or any other unknown server.

Generally
LockMyPix does not collect any private data or evaluate private data. Our users do not have to provide any address or contact information that could potentially be misused or passed on. No files or other data are transferred to our servers or evaluated or stored on backup servers without the consent of our users (cloud backup). Transparency is one of our most important assets, which is why all files imported into LockMyPix are only saved locally, i.e. on the end device. When the LockMyPix Cloud is active, files are transferred to the private Google Drive / Dropbox account. There is no transfer to other servers.
Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive associated with the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. Their sole purpose is to make the Internet offering as a whole more user-friendly and effective.

Stored data about you
If you purchase a product on our page, we need to collect several informations about you to safety identify your transaction. Automatically collected statistical data for the further development and optimization of our offers is fundamentally anonymized (IP address unknown) and is only collected when you access our website or app or contact us, for example by email. Due to anonymization, there is no connection between you personally and, for example, the time when you accessed our website.

If individual functions of the LockMyPix website or app rely on commissioned service providers, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes in this data protection declaration.
App permissions
All app permissions that are necessary for LockMyPix to function correctly will not be abused or used other than intended.
Password recovery
Your LockMyPix password is private and only known to you. LockMyPix does not store or know the password, but uses it to encrypt your important files. To restore your password if you forget it, you can enter an email address. LockMyPix then stores your password encrypted on our servers without assigning it to a LockMyPix data safe or the possibility of generating any conclusions. The email address provided will only be used for password recovery and will not be passed on. You can deactivate and delete password recovery via email at any time in the settings (from V. 2.7.5 or 4.5.4).
Google Analytics & Firebase
LockMyPix uses the services of Google Analytics and Google Firebase for function and bug control. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google may place cookies on the device to ensure functionality. The information collected by cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Data security
Our IT infrastructure and organizational security measures comply with current standards and are continuously optimized to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Irrespective of this, the files imported into the LockMyPix application are encrypted using the AES CTR encryption standard without exception.
How long we retain your data
Your data is stored at least 365 days after expiration. If you purchased lifetime, we need to store your data indefinitely.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please keep in mind that you can´t use a purchased product anymore if you request the deletion of that data.
How we use your data
Automatically collected statistical data is used for the further development and optimization of our services. If you only use our website to find out about our services, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):
